On-Site Diagnostic Testing
On-site diagnostic testing is just one part of Performance Ortho’s vision to orthopedic excellence and comprehensive care. With some of the most advanced equipment available at each of our four NJ orthopedic clinic locations, we thoroughly evaluate our patients to offer the best orthopedics in NJ.
Why are on-site diagnostics so important to patient care? The results of these diagnostics help our practitioners better develop a treatment plan to address your orthopedic concerns and help you get back to a better life. Instead of having to go to two (or more) facilities for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, we off all aspects of your orthopedic care in one place. The only thing we can’t do at our clinics is an MRI, but our strong relationships with nearby facilities help to ensure that our patients are seen—and get their results—quickly.
Digital Radiography (X-ray)
Using the power of digital imaging, our x-rays use less radiation and produce images faster than traditional systems. Our technicians can produce a detailed image in just seconds, while also enhancing it for better review and easily sharing it with other practitioners and medical providers. Learn more about our on-site digital x-ray capabilities.
Musculoskeletal (MSK) Ultrasound
With recent advancements in technology, musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasounds are now an essential part of our diagnostic practice. Often used in tandem with digital x-rays and MRIs, MSK ultrasounds allow us to evaluate soft tissue in the upper and lower extremities and develop an effective diagnosis and treatment plan. Learn more about MSK ultrasounds and how we use them.
Nerve Conduction Velocity Testing (NCV)
Nerve conduction velocity (NCV) testing sends electrical impulses into your nerves, measuring how fast they travel. This allows us to quickly assess any nerve damage and other abnormalities to aid in our diagnosis and treatment. Learn more about NCV and how it can help us diagnose or rule out certain conditions.

Electromyography (EMG)
Like NCV, electromyography (EMG) measures your body’s response to electric stimulation. But rather than the speed, EMG measures the response of your muscles to the stimulation passed through your nerve, both while at rest and during use. Learn more about EMG and how it helps our team to identify issues in the nerves and muscles that may be impacting your orthopedic health.
Diagnostic Arthroscopy (IntraVuⓇ)
With a microscopic, high-definition camera on the tip of a small needle, IntraVuⓇ lets our practitioners see inside your body. This not only allows us to better evaluate joint injuries, but also deliver pain management injections to precisely the right place. Learn how IntraVuⓇ’s high-quality imaging and small needle size makes these procedures more quick, accurate, and less painful than other methods.
