About
Dr. Mejia is triple board-certified and fellowship-trained in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), Pain Management, and Sports Medicine, with a clinical focus on non-surgical orthopedic care. He has also completed extensive training in Regenerative Medicine and advanced pain procedure techniques. Dr. Mejia has contributed to numerous publications and research projects and has led eight different courses and workshops.
Education
Dr. Mejia completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where he received a B.S. in Biology. He then earned his medical degree at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. He holds medical licenses in both the state of New Jersey and New York.
Expertise
Dr. Mejia is board certified in Physiatry, a medical specialty also known as Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). He is also fellowship-trained in interventional pain management and sports medicine. After completing his residency at NYU/Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation, he received fellowship training in Interventional Pain/Musculoskeletal Medicine at UMDNJ/Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation.
