Neuropathy Pain

what is neuropathy?

Peripheral neuropathy is a very common condition that occurs when the peripheral nerves of the hands and feet become damaged. Most often the condition leads to weakness, numbness, tingling, and pain, usually in the hands and feet.  Patients will also complain of secondary symptoms of loss of balance and challenges with walking.

Some of the more common causes of Peripheral Neuropathy:

  1. Diabetes-poorly managed blood sugar levels, causes a destruction of blood vessels of the nerve. Referred to as diabetic neuropathy, the most common cause of neuropathy.
  2. Alcoholism – Chronic alcohol use can lead to nerve damage.
  3. Medications – Chemotherapy drugs often destroy nerves leading neuropathy symptoms.
  4. Idiopathic Neuropathy – unknown cause of nerve damage

MICROVAS Treatment for NEUROPATHY: How Does it Work?

MicroVas treatment is a non-invasive, FDA-cleared therapy designed for patients suffering from all types of neuropathy. Over the past 15 years, Performance Ortho has successfully treated more than 1,000 patients with MicroVas, achieving excellent outcomes.

MicroVas works by causing gentle passive muscle contraction and relaxation cycles to the muscles and nerves of the affected areas. This process increases tissue oxygen levels to damaged nerves, thus greatly accelerating the healing process.

Our patients continue to report long term relief months and even years after the treatment has been completed. This can be because MicroVas helps build new blood vessels that result in sustained increased oxygen levels, decreased symptoms and returning you back to the activities you enjoy.

Regardless of how you acquired neuropathy, we may be able to help. But due to scheduling capacity of the MicroVas equipment , we can only accommodate a limited number of patients each month.

We recommend immediate action as these slots fill up quickly. Click below to see if you qualify for this life-changing treatment.

“I came to this center for intense diabetic neuropathy pain. The treatment I am having, called MicroVas, is unconventional and I had little hope that my pain would be significantly relieved. I was desperate enough to try it. To my utter astonishment, the many months of chronic, worsening pain is 98% gone. I am sleeping at night entirely pain-free. I am only halfway through my treatment and physical therapy course with results beyond anything I dared to hope. I know this sounds like a paid advertisement, too good to be true, but it is absolutely the truth.” -Carolee M.

WE HAVE MULTIPLE OPTIONS FOR TREATING NEUROPATHY PAIN:

  1. Physical Therapy: Physical therapy can be a valuable component of a comprehensive treatment plan for neuropathy. While it may not directly cure the underlying cause of neuropathy, physical therapy can help manage symptoms, improve functionality, and enhance overall quality of life.
  2. Occupational Therapy: Occupational therapy can play a crucial role in helping individuals with neuropathy manage their symptoms and improve their ability to engage in meaningful activities of daily living.
  3. Spinal Cord Stimulator: Performance Ortho is proud to offer HFX Spinal Cord Stimulation Therapy. HFX™ therapy is an advanced Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) treatment for chronic back and leg pain. It’s FDA-approved and clinically demonstrated to give people superior* relief of both back and leg pain relative to traditional SCS.
