Regenerative Medicine: An Innovative Path Forward

Regenerative Medicine treats common and complex orthopedic injuries by harnessing the body’s natural healing potential.

We specialize in providing non-surgical alternatives to joint replacements and other orthopedic surgeries, with the specific biologic intervention based on each patient’s unique needs.  This results in a safe, effective, and powerful treatment with restoration of function and pain relief.  Now patients have a new alternative to elective joint and back surgery.

Conditions Most Treated with Stem Cells and PRP:

If you’re struggling with pain or limited mobility due to any of the following conditions, Stem cell therapy may be a suitable option.

  • Degenerative Spinal Discs: Stem cell therapy offers a regenerative approach to treating DDD by promoting disc repair and slowing degeneration.
  • Osteoarthritis: Stem cell therapy can help regenerate damaged cartilage and reduce inflammation, potentially slowing the progression of this degenerative joint disease.
  • Tendinopathies: Stem cells can promote tendon repair, easing pain and improving function in conditions like tennis elbow or Achilles tendinitis.
  • Ligament Sprains: Stem cells can accelerate healing and reduce inflammation, helping you recover faster from ligament injuries.
  • Meniscal Injuries: Stem cells can promote tissue regeneration in the meniscus, the shock-absorbing cartilage in your knee, potentially delaying or avoiding surgery.
  • Muscle Strains: Stem cells can help repair damaged muscle fibers and reduce inflammation, speeding up your recovery.

Benefits of Stem Cell Therapy and PRP:

Stem cell therapy is a simple treatment that is usually well-tolerated, with most patients only feeling mild discomfort. One of our skilled physicians will extract, process, and reintroduce the stem cells into the injured area on the same day, using computer-guided imaging for precise placement.

Advantages of Stem Cell Treatment:

  • Minimally Invasive: Offers a promising alternative to surgery with less pain and faster recovery.
  • Precise Placement: Utilizes guided ultrasound for accurate stem cell injection.
  • Natural Healing: Stimulates your body’s repair mechanisms, promoting continued healing over several months.
  • Quick Recovery: Many patients notice improvement within a few weeks and experience a quicker return to their active lifestyle.

FAQ’s – what you need to know

Stem Cell FAQ’s

All stem cells procedures are performed in our own state of the art surgery center.

  1. Collection – We collect either bone marrow or fat tissue using a minimally invasive technique.
  2. Processing – The sample is spun in a special machine (centrifuge) to concentrate the healing cells.
  3. Injection – The concentrated stem cells are then precisely injected into the injured area, often using ultrasound or fluoroscopy guidance.

No. We do not use embryonic or donor stem cells. These are 100% your own cells, making it a safer and more ethical option with a very low risk of rejection or complications.

Because it uses your own cells, the risk of infection, allergic reaction, or rejection is very low. As with any medical procedure, there is a small risk of pain, bruising, or swelling at the injection site.

Platelet-Rich Plasma FAQ’s

PRP stands for Platelet-Rich Plasma. It’s a treatment that uses the healing components of your own blood, specifically platelets and growth factors, to help repair injured tissues, reduce inflammation, and stimulate natural healing in joints, tendons, and ligaments.

PRP uses only blood components, while stem cell therapy uses healing cells from bone marrow or fat.

  • PRP primarily reduces inflammation and enhances healing.
  • Stem cells have the potential to repair or regenerate tissue.
Both treatments can be used alone or in combination, depending on the condition.
  1. Blood Draw – A small amount of your blood is taken, similar to a standard lab test.
  2. Processing – The blood is placed in a special centrifuge machine to separate and concentrate the platelets.
  3. Injection – The PRP is precisely injected into the injured area, often with ultrasound guidance to ensure accuracy.
